The photographic techniques used involve using the very latest in panoramic software to stitch together multiple images of a scene. Up to ten images at a time can make up a single panorama.

High Dynamic Range (HDR) is also employed in the images taken after December 2008. This technique involves multiple exposures of the same scene to take in the full detail in both the shadows and highlights which are normally impossible to capture in one shot. The result is stunning as you can see from some of the images posted in the galleries.

Jim uses both Nikon D40X and Canon EOS 5D MKII cameras to capture all the detail available in the scene.

The majority of the images available are of Castles and buildings of historical interest. However, there are also numerous famous landscapes and views that have also been given the HDR/Panoramic treatment.

The library will continue to grow endlessly for as long as Jim and his 13 year old son Lewis have the will to go and explore this wonderful country.
